Akulaku and BAZNAS Support Youth Empowerment Through Ramadan CSR Initiative

Jakarta, March 9, 2026 – The National Zakat Agency of Indonesia (BAZNAS), in collaboration with PT Akulaku Finance Indonesia and PT Akulaku Silvrr Indonesia, organized a series of Ramadan community initiatives at the Jakarta Class II Special Development Institution for Children (LPKA) in Jagakarsa, South Jakarta. The initiative included the Hidangan Berkah Ramadan (Ramadan Blessed Meals) program and screen-printing skills training for youth under the institution’s care, as part of Akulaku’s corporate social responsibility (CSR) efforts during the holy month of Ramadan.

Dr. H. M. Imdadun Rahmat, M.Si., Deputy II for Distribution and Empowerment at BAZNAS RI, said the initiative reflects BAZNAS’ commitment to delivering Ramadan programs that go beyond providing immediate assistance by also supporting long-term empowerment.

“Through this program, we hope to bring the spirit and joy of Ramadan to the children while equipping them with practical skills that can contribute to a better future,” he said.

Ajat Sudrajat, Head of the Empowerment, UPZ Services and CSR Division at BAZNAS RI, said the initiative forms part of a broader collaboration between BAZNAS and Akulaku to support communities through a range of social programs during Ramadan.

“Today, we are implementing the Hidangan Berkah Ramadan program by providing iftar meals, from takjil to main meals, for the children at the institution,” Ajat said.

He added that the collaboration extends to several other social initiatives. “In addition to providing Ramadan meals, Akulaku is also supporting BAZNAS’ free homecoming transportation program to Central Java and East Java, assistance for several orphanages, as well as community healthcare services,” he said.

The screen-printing workshop, which began earlier in the day, was designed to provide participants with practical vocational skills and support their future economic independence.

“Through this training, we hope the children can develop useful skills that will help them become more independent when they return to society,” Ajat added.

Edy Salim, Director of Technology and Information at PT Akulaku Finance Indonesia, expressed his appreciation to BAZNAS RI and LPKA Jakarta for facilitating the initiative, emphasizing Akulaku’s commitment to creating a positive and meaningful impact in the communities it serves.

“Through our CSR collaboration with BAZNAS, we are supporting a range of initiatives, including Ramadan meal distribution, free healthcare services, community assistance, free homecoming transportation, and vocational training for children at LPKA,” Edy said. “We believe every child has the potential to build a brighter future, and we hope these initiatives can provide meaningful support as they develop the skills and confidence to move forward.”

Syaikoni, Head of the Jakarta Class II Special Development Institution for Children, also expressed his appreciation for the support provided to the children under the institution’s care.

“We are deeply grateful to BAZNAS RI and Akulaku for their support and attention to the children at LPKA Jakarta,” he said.

One of the participants, 16-year-old Rapo, said the screen-printing workshop provided a valuable opportunity to learn something new.

“I really enjoyed participating in this program because we had the opportunity to learn screen printing and understand the differences between digital and manual printing,” he said. “Thank you to BAZNAS and Akulaku for spending time with us and sharing this experience.”

Through its collaboration with BAZNAS, Akulaku continues to support community-focused initiatives that combine immediate assistance with longer-term empowerment.
