Akulaku Distributes Rp200 Million in Aid to Sumatra Disaster Survivors

Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Akulaku Finance Indonesia and PT Akulaku Silvrr Indonesia, part of the Akulaku Group, distributed humanitarian aid to flood disaster survivors in the Sumatra region worth Rp200 million through synergy with the Indonesian National Zakat Agency (Baznas).

The aid was used to help meet the urgent needs of survivors in Aceh, North Sumatra and West Sumatra.

In a statement in Jakarta on Tuesday, Meyli Rita Rahmayati, Compliance Director of PT Akulaku Finance Indonesia, highlighted the importance of recovery efforts to help disaster survivors.

“This support is part of our ongoing commitment to being there when people need us. Our focus is on helping meet the most pressing needs on the ground, from logistics and emergency supplies to operational support like public kitchens,” said Meyli.

He added that this assistance is expected to ease the burden on disaster survivors in Sumatra and provide real benefits to those facing difficult times.

The aid handover ceremony was held at the Baznas RI Office, attended by representatives of Akulaku management and the leadership of Baznas RI.

Through this activity, Akulaku reaffirms its commitment to implementing corporate social responsibility (CSR) programs, particularly in providing rapid responses to natural disasters and strengthening humanitarian support in various regions.

Director of Collection at Baznas RI, Faisal Qosim, expressed his appreciation for the contribution and trust placed in Akulaku in distributing this aid.

“Thank you, Akulaku, for your trust and continued collaboration. This support means a lot to communities struggling to recover from the impact of the disaster. Hopefully, this synergy will be a concrete step in strengthening solidarity and helping more of our brothers and sisters in affected areas,” he said.

As part of efforts to ensure aid is distributed appropriately, Akulaku also coordinated with Baznas RI to go directly to a number of posts in several affected areas, including in Gampong Manyang Cut, Pidie Jaya, Aceh.

Through this collaboration, Akulaku ensures that the support provided reaches those most in need.

Akulaku hopes this contribution can ease the burden on communities in affected areas and strengthen the spirit of togetherness in helping survivors.

The company also encourages various parties to continue to increase their awareness and take concrete action to support the post-disaster recovery process.
